I have to travel from Honduras to Belize in order to renew my visa, and I saw the boats at a price of $ 50. I wonder whether there is a cheaper alternative.

You can probably take the bus. I know that my cousin has a bus from Belize in Mexico, so I think it could do the same in your situation. I know it is not expensive, but I also know that it's not very pleasant. But if you do not mind the experience of traveling from Honduras, Belize, then I suggest you try it.
